About Me
My Dance Career
I attended the Baltimore School for the Arts (BSA) for high school under the training of Norma Pera, Debra Deckelbaum, and Anton Wilson. While at BSA, I spent half of my day in academic classes and the other half of my day training and rehearsing works created by choreographers such as George Balanchine, Barry Hughson, and Christopher d’Amboise.
After graduating, I attended Southern Methodist University (SMU) and obtained a BFA in Dance Performance and a BBA in Business Management. While at SMU, I received training from and performed works created by notable choreographers including Silas Farley, Dwight Rhoden, Alex Sanchez, Carter Alexander, and Molissa Fenley. Additionally, I created works of my own, which premiered at SMU’s Choreography Showcase and Senior Dance Concert.
Shortly after moving to Colorado, I performed “The Nutcracker” with Boulder Ballet in Longmont and Estes Park as well as and “Silken Threads,” “Ukraine,” and “Aurora,” with Kim Robards Dance. I am currently dancing with David Taylor of Zikr Dance Ensemble to workshop new pieces for their upcoming season. Additionally, I have co-choreographed a contemporary ballet pas de duex to be performed this fall at VisKosity Dance Collective’s FreeForm Dance Festival.
Over the years, I have attended summer intensives with American Ballet Theater (NYC), Boca Ballet Theater, Houston Ballet, Boston Ballet, Indiana University, and Boston Conservatory.
My favorite ballet to perform is “Serenade” by George Balanchine, which I have performed on 3 separate occasions throughout my dance career!
